Whether you are an existing customer, have just taken an interest in our goods and services or are simply visiting our website www.bachmann.info, it's important to us to comprehensively protect your privacy and personal information. For this reason, the companies of the Bachmann Group ("we") describe below, among other things, what kind of data we collect and for what purpose, how we process it and what measures we have taken for your protection, in a Q&A format:
Whose information and what categories of information do we process?
In the context of this privacy policy, we are concerned exclusively with the information of natural persons who come into contact with us in whatever way in cases where information can be associated with these persons individually. The following categories of information are collected:
- Identification and contact information, such as the first name, last name, e-mail and postal address, telephone number etc.
- Information on your interests and wishes concerning our range of goods and services
- Contractual and billing information, i.e., information that can be derived from contracts concluded between you and us
- Information on your online behavior and online preferences
- Audiovisual data, e.g. photos taken at trade fairs and other events, material from video surveillance in one of our company buildings etc.
- Other categories of similar information
How is your information processed?
The collected information is - partially or fully automatically - stored, sorted, used, transmitted and, if necessary, deleted. In addition, the provision and retrieval, synchronization or linking of collected information is considered processing.
For what purposes is your information processed?
The purposes for which the collected information is processed depend, among other things, on how you have contacted us (e.g. by visiting our website) or which goods and services you obtain from us as part of an existing business relationship. These are possible purposes of information processing: advertising and marketing as well as strengthening the customer relationship (for example, in the context of organized events), provision of information (including in social media) about our range of goods and services, improvement of our range of goods and services, design of customer-specific offers, fulfillment of (pre-)contractual or legal obligations, protection of our business premises and preparation for legal disputes. The companies of the Bachmann Group do not engage in direct marketing.
On what basis do we process your information, and how long do we store it?
You have voluntarily provided us with information about yourself, and we process it on the basis of your consent. Furthermore, we process data in fulfillment of any (pre-)contractual or legal obligation or on the basis of our legitimate interests. We will not store your information longer than we need to for the stated processing purpose. We will only store it beyond that should we be required to do so by law.
With whom do we share your information?
Only those of our employees who absolutely need to access your information to perform their official duties are granted access. Other employees are excluded from accessing your information. In addition, we variously pass on your information to other companies of the Bachmann Group as well as to authorities should it be required by law. Finally, we also commission sales partners and external service providers ("order processors"), e.g. to send out our newsletter. In all of these cases, we ensure through contractual regulations that your information is only processed in accordance with statutory provisions.
What tools do we use to collect information?
We use various software analysis tools and technical aids (such as video cameras, sound recorders, cookies etc.) to collect and analyze the information relevant to us in an efficient way. At the same time, we have taken state-of-the-art measures to protect the data obtained in this way from unauthorized access or manipulation, and we take organizational measures to ensure that the data is only made available to those employees who absolutely need it as part of their official duties. In addition, we naturally comply with all applicable legal provisions.
What rights do you have?
The rights to which you are entitled are set out in the European General Data Protection Regulation and the relevant national regulations (e.g. the Austrian Data Protection Act or the German Federal Data Protection Act). On the basis of the General Data Protection Regulation, they include the following rights in particular:
- Right of access by the data subject (Article 15),
- Right to rectification (Article 16),
- Right to erasure (Article 17),
- Right to restriction of processing (Article 18),
- Right to data portability (Article 20),
- Right to object (Article 21).
You would like to apply for a job - but what will happen to your information?
We welcome every application, no matter if it reaches us by post, e-mail or the application portal on our website. The information disclosed in the course of the application process is treated with the same care as all other personal information but additionally stored in a database system with restricted access. Furthermore, we ensure that the information is only made accessible to the employees of the central and/or local HR department and the respective line manager(s) responsible. It should be noted that the central HR department also acts as a service provider for the companies of the Bachmann Group and that it may therefore be necessary to forward the information accordingly. By submitting the application documents, we assume that you agree to us keeping the information on record for future job placements. Automatic deletion will take place in accordance with the statutory provisions.

Can you rely on the statements made in the privacy policy?
Generally, you can, but we do reserve the right to adjust the privacy policy from time to time (for example, if the legal situation changes). You can find the current version on the website www.bachmann.info under "Imprint" and "Data Protection" at the bottom of the page.
